Pantera

Pantera is an American metal band from Arlington, Texas that formed in 1981. The group became prominent in the early 1990s with the release of its albums Cowboys from Hell (1990) and Vulgar Display of Power (1992). Pantera is known for its unique combination of heavy metal, groove metal, and thrash metal. The band's sound has been influential in the development of the metal subgenre groove metal, and they have been credited as one of the most influential metal bands of the 1990s. The band consisted of members Dimebag Darrell (guitar), Vinnie Paul (drums), Rex Brown (bass/vocals), and Phil Anselmo (vocals).
